His solid preparation, resulting from attending the great European schools for Orchestra Conductors together with his communicative and charismatic personality, make Salomon an important figure both in artistic and didactic circles.

Born in Argentina from musician parents of Italian origin , he started at a very young age to study piano and continues together with the study of the oboe and composition at the National University of Mendoza, where he was born.

In 1978, thanks to his talent he receives from the German Government the prestigious grant "DAAD"(Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst) which permits him to complete his European formation.

In 1981 he obtains the "Konzertexamen" for oboe at the "Hochschule für Musik und Theater" in Hannover. On this occasion the Institute honours him placing at his disposal the "Rundfunkorchester Hannover des NDR".

He then moves to Vienna where he studies Conducting under Prof. Karl Osterreicher and Julius Kalmar at the "Hochschule für Musik und Dar stellende Kunst Wien" and follows specialisation course in Opera at the "Konservatorium der Stadt Wien".

In Italy he follows the last coures of M° Franco Ferrara (Siena, Roma Bisceglie) and returns to Germany where he is one of a select few chosen by Sergio Celibidache for Symphonic- Choral Conducting and Phenomenology courses at the"Johannes Gutenberg Universität of Mainz".

He begins his work in Germany after obtaining through public exam the position of permanent conducter for 4 years of the "Kammer-Sinfonieorchester" of Celle.

In 1985 Jesús Lopez Cobos, "Generalmusikdirektor" of the Deutscher Oper Berlin, wants him as assistant in a prestigious production of the Wagnerian Tetralogy and in the setting up of the opera "Lulu" by A. Berg and offers him the conducting of "Fidelio" by L.van Beethoven.

From then on he continues to be called as guest conductor by numerous theatres and orchestras in Europe and South America to mention some: Teatro Colòn Buenos Aires, Teatro Solis Montevideo, Teatro de Santiago de Chile, European Orchestra of London, Orchestra C.S.I. Lugano, Roma Tre Orchestra etc.

His symphonic repertoire extends from the classics to the exponents of the 20th century Vienese school, not to mention the most important Ger man, Russian and French symphonic composers. His Oper- repertoire is equally vast , in addition to the great tradition of the Italien "Bel Canto", he particulary loves German opera, that of Puccini and the"verista".

From 1999 - 2002 we see him Artistic Director of the "Festival Ruggero Leoncavallo" in Brissago-Locarno, where unpublished passages of the composer are performed. Guests are artists such as the soprano Luciana Serra and the "Guido Cantelli Orchestra" of Milan.

His didactic worthiness already demonstrated in the Master Classes of Lucerna, Milan and Cagli, reward him with the" High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic" as a result of which, from 1998 -2001 he holds annual perfecting courses in Conducting in the "Teatro Sociale" in Como. These performances are so acclaimed that they arouse the interest of the National Press and also that of the Italian Swiss Television which dedicates to them an entire program.

In 2001 he is invited to the prestigious Academy "Teatro alla Scala" in Milan to conduct the Orchestra of the Academy.

For the academic year 2006 - 2007 he wins a position in the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome as Professor of Lyrical Theatre in the two-year specialist course for the 2nd level of conducting and the year after in the same Institute he is given the post of Professor for the entire two-year course in Conducting.

Over the last 2 years he has been holding regular Master Classes both at the "International Music Academy Isang Yun" and "the Grand Theatre" in Pyongyang-Korea.

In 2012 he has been invited by the Santa Cecilia Conservatory, to hold a Master Class on German Opera.


For the Publishing House "Rugginenti" he is carrying out a careful revision of the entire symphonic work of Franco Ferrara the Symphonic Poem "Notte di Tempesta" is already available.

He is regularly invited to be part of the jury in important International Competitions, for Lyrical Voices Giacomo Lauri-Volpi 2006-2010, for Instruments and Orchestra, such as "Città di Cantù" for Piano and Orchestra and "Valsesia Musica" Song -lyric and Orchestra section, Violin and Orchestra section for which he was President in 2004, 2006, 2008, and in Piano and Orchestra section (2011).

He has been invited several times to be on the jury of the International Competition "Antonio Pedrotti" for Conducting in 2004 in fact, he was part of illustrious juries in Intitutions such as the Tschaikowsky Conservatory of Moscow, the "Manhattan School of Music" of New York, "Palais de Beaux Arts" of Brussels and the "Metropolitan Art Space" of Tokyo.

From 2008 to 2010 has been the Principal Guest Conductor of the Philarmonic Orchestra of The DPKR of Korea.
